The Casino Grand Prix Series is the biggest national competition on the Austrian showjumping circuit sponsored by Casinos Austria. The series consists of six two star (1.50M) GPs throughout the year.
Iris started the 2010 season with a personal goal of being competitive in the Casino GP Series. She certainly took an important step towards that goal on Sunday June 20th when she won the second Casino GP of the year at Magna Racino riding Night Flight.
Night Flight jumped extremely well in the main round helping Iris become one of only seven riders to qualify for the jump off out of the field of thirty five.
Claudia Neureiter riding Lassergut Moon de Reis set an amazing time of 37.61 seconds in the jump off. Iris was not sure Claudia's time could be beaten as Night Flight is not the fastest horse. However, his huge gallop and a flat out run to the final fence secured first place with a winning time of 36.04 seconds.
Iris was obviously delighted by the win and is now placed 3rd in the overall series. She is looking forward to the next GP in Pelmberg on July 25th.
